Title: Maple Shortbread Bars

1 1/4cAll-purpose flour; sifted
1/4cSugar
1/2cButter or margarine
2/3cMaple-blended syrup
1 1/3cCoconut
1/4tsSalt

Recipe by: BH&G Cooking for Two Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Sift flour and sugar together; cut in butter until mixture resembles fine crumbs. Press into an 8-inch square baking pan and bake for 15 to 20 minutes. Combine syrup, coconut and salt in a small saucepan. Cook for about 8 minutes, or until the coconut absorbs most of the syrup.
